Midlands Heat 8 Nov

Hi Folks
Huge night at the Ricoh Centre as we had the largest turnout of supporters - 166 spectators came to show their support for the 'sport of reading'. many parents were impressed at the kids knowledge and were delighted to be able to see just what their kids had been looking forward to for weeks. Gillian Cross and Mark Robson donated spot prizes which all added to the excitement of the. evening. Blue Coat School were the winners in a closely contested heat. Great scores all round
Well done everybody.

On Thursday 8th November I took part in the Kids' Lit Quiz as part of the team from King Edward vi Grammar school in Stratford. We really enjoyed taking part and were delighted to see that we were in the top three on the leader board right from the first round. We were really confused when the results were announced as we were not in the first 4 places which seemed strange.
We had to check the results ourselves after the prize giving and it clearly showed on the spreadsheet that we had 75 points which put us in 3rd place.
All our team, our librarian and all the people who came to support us were so disappoined that you made this mistake beacuse we would love to have had our photo taken with Wayne and the author Mark Robson.
We are upset that the judges couldn't put a list of scores in the right order and it has made us feel really bad about the whole evening especially as the organisers admitted their mistake to us just 10 minutes after the results were announced but the wrong results have still been put on the website.

Yours sincerely
